Do you feel constant pressure to conform to the ever-evolving enticing values of this fallen world? The unrelenting onslaught of conscious and subconscious media messaging covertly conditions us to compromise our spiritual integrity and devotion. his intentional strategic offensive against Christ-followers will increase in intensity with the ultimate endgame of coercing believers to compromise God’s values and conform to society’s corrupt values. How do we effectively and respectfully counter this distressing offensive? How do we determine our unwavering and non-negotiable line in the sand?

The apostle Peter offers us some thoughtful advice. As our non-negotiable unwavering foundation, devotion, and resolution, we must establish, agree, and assert Christ as Lord to protect and preserve our soul’s spiritual integrity. Our obedience to Christ and to godly values must be established in the depth of the human heart – regardless of circumstance or consequence. Our non-negotiable line in the sand safeguards us from the common concessions of apathy and appeasement.

Silence and indifference never influence cultural behaviour. As Christ’s ambassadors, God anoints and appoints us for influence – speaking truth with gentleness and respect, regardless of the reaction or response – preserving a clear conscience and compassionately asserting God’s will.

Have you established your line in the sand? If yes, then you can expect the enemy to resolutely test your resolve. He will lure and entice you to compromise your faith to appease worldly values and agendas. Guard your heart: establish a non-negotiable line in the sand – a line that reflects and preserves your relationship with Christ – a line you will never compromise, regardless of personal cost or circumstance.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that you have chosen me and called me by name to follow you. Help me to fearlessly establish a non-negotiable line in the sand – a line that reflects and preserves my relationship with you – a line I will never compromise, regardless of personal cost or circumstance.

Throughout This Day: Rejoice often in the fact that God gives you everything you need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1.1-4), and that you can overcome the enticements of Satan, the world, and the flesh by walking in the Spirit.
