We all need a little push sometimes, a gentle nudge to remind us of what truly matters. In those quiet moments of solitude, love and commitment come alive when we invest the time and effort. Prayer isn't easy; it demands dedication, showing up even when fatigue weighs us down. But then it clicks: prayer is the golden key God has given us to access His throne room of grace.
Imagine it as having a backstage pass to the most exclusive concert ever. You’re exhausted, worn out, but you still show up because what's waiting behind those doors is worth every struggle. This secret weapon, this intimate connection, fuels us, lifting us when we need it most. Once you grasp that, it changes everything.
Luke tells of a woman whose only option was to seek justice from an unjust judge. Persistently, she came until he finally relented. Jesus used this parable to emphasize our need for persistent prayer. (Luke 18:1-8) Bob Fitts sang, "Keep on Praying in the spirit… at all times, with all kinds of prayers." Are we keeping at it, or has our drive faded? Sometimes we retreat when the answer is just around the corner.
God calls us to embrace a lifestyle of prayer, strengthening our spiritual muscles. Our families and nations need divine solutions. I urge everyone to give prayer a try. It's our wireless network—connecting humanity with the divine and witnessing God's power manifest in our world.
Heavenly Father, I admit that praying isn't always easy. Grant me the grace to persist, to seek your face in prayer. May you provide the strength to petition heaven until answers come and solutions are given to all who seek you. Amen.
Throughout the Day: Have Jesus' words sparked a desire in you to pray? There is no special formula; God only asks for our availability. Start by taking the first step and persist like the persistent widow in the parable. As you commit to showing up, the Holy Spirit will grant you the strength to persevere in prayer. Listening to Bob Fitts’ song
may also encourage you to keep on praying.
