“Good morning, Mrs. Rex!” The cheery greeting comes from a teacher down the hall. I work in a public school. God has assigned me to pray for the staff, students and their families to be saved from eternal separation from him. I don’t know how they will all hear the gospel, but I pray they do.

I have a sense that God wants me to share the good news of Jesus Christ at work. I’m not sure what that looks like, but I pray for opportunities to share. I have had a few chances to pray with unbelieving co-workers when they went through tough situations. I shared the gospel with a parent and with a security guard.

I want to be full of courage instead of fear. I don’t want to care what people think of me but somehow my people-pleasing nature comes through. This hinders my witness because I don’t want to offend the staff. They are precious to Jesus, and he wants each to have an opportunity to know about him.

As our verse today states, we can’t let our guard down in the spiritual realm. The enemy does not want us to bring truth to anyone. We must stand firm in our faith in Christ. Since God’s Word commands us to be courageous and strong, we can be sure that he will enable just that in the Holy Spirit’s power. Praise the Lord that he is always ready to give us what we need to do what he assigns us to!

Dear Father, please help me to be courageous and strong in you to share your love and saving power with the people I work with. Thank you so much in advance.

Throughout this day: Wherever you find yourself today, you have truth to share. Choose someone and pray for them to be open to receive God’s truth. Then share in the power of Christ.
