"I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.” Rev 20:11-12

Some years ago I was part of a legal case before the Supreme Court of Canada. On the appointed day nine justices paraded into that last court. The sense of finality was overwhelming. They would pronounce the final judgment on our case. No appeal would be possible.

Revelation 20:11-12 promises that God will convene a court of final judgment. Great and small will be judged without distinction. Absolute justice will be its rule, perfection its standard. The verdict will be final. No appeal will be possible.

You and I will stand before that court with all facts truly and fully known. We will be judged either by the records in God’s book of our actions here on earth or by the great Book of Life that records the names of those who belong to Christ.

If you follow Jesus, you will hear a wonderful final word. Jesus will claim you as His own, declare you righteous, and invite you into His kingdom of life forever. Imagine your joy on that final day!

Tragically, not everyone will hear a joyful word. We all long for justice, but do you know what will happen when it finally comes?

Listen! There is still time to trust your life to Christ if you have not. Do not hesitate! Do not wait! Another opportunity may not come. The Bible says, “Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation” (1 Corinthians 6:2).

Yes! Turn to Him today.

Lord Jesus, I place all my hope and all my life in Your hands. Thank You for forgiving my sins and promising to give me a place in Your eternal kingdom. You are my greatest delight and joy. I love you! Amen.

Take Action

Experience the wonderful news of salvation as you take joy in trusting Christ fully for your future both today and tomorrow. Let that joy refresh your soul, lift your spirits, and anchor within you an unshakeable hope.
