Have you considered the love of God, friend? It is vast. It is great. It is unconditional. It is unmeasurable. It is unexplainable.
When I pause and think of the love God has just for me, I am undone. If only words could convey my exact thoughts, experiences and feelings,you could truly understand my gratitude and respect for the everlasting love of God. I grew up in church as a granddaughter of a pastor. My church was not huge, but you knew the authentic love of God each time you walked through the doors. This, along with a great family, allowed me to know - to have an assurance - of the love of God. His presence has always been so real to me. In good times when I saw His hand provide the answer to my prayers for my amazing husband to the tragic times when my husband and I experienced the miscarriage of our first baby. God’s grace, nearness, and love were absolutely evident.
Just as the featured verse states, “I have drawn you with unfailing kindness,” He has been faithful and good - in all occasions of my life. That pause I referenced is the importance of spending time each day to recognize and reflect on the everlasting love of God. How great is His love for us.
The definition of the word everlasting is:
Lasting forever; eternal.
Continuing indefinitely or for a long period of time.
Persisting too long; tedious.
The love of God for each one of us is never ending. His love is enveloping and enduring. I pray you have the faith to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. My prayer is for you to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:14-19)
Wherever you are, whatever 2025 has brought your way thus far, please take a minute and welcome the massive, all-encompassing love that God has just for you. Remember this each day of your life – the everlasting love of God is yours, if you will only receive it and Him.
Oh, dear reader, our God loves you so.
Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for your everlasting love. I welcome you and your presence in my life. Today I take time to reflect and receive the massive, encompassing love that you have just for me. You and your everlasting love are amazing to me. Thank you, Father, for your love. Amen
