When have you last mediated on the holiness and power of God? Spend some time in His presence today, and invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with understanding about who God is.
It’s repeated a number of times in Scripture: "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." But what does that mean, exactly?
The moment we see God’s holiness, we come face-to-face with our own absolute imperfection.
Isn’t it amazing that God wants a relationship with us, and He calls us to be part of what He’s doing in this world?
Dear God, You are so beyond my understanding! Thank You for who You are: for Your power and faithfulness and holiness. Help me to fear You, and not take You for granted. Thank You that even though You’re so vast, that You care about me, and invite me into Your work. Amen.
