There are many ways to change your life and yourself. You can change your behavior through disciplined actions, change your body through working out, your thinking by changing what you consume, but how does one renew their spiritual life?

By renewing their mind.

It’s easy to become tainted by the world as we go about our daily lives, not really noticing the little things that we allow to slip when we aren’t really paying attention...maybe not even wanting to pay attention because it’s easier to be passive than active.

It’s easy to get distracted by the constant stream of content that comes our way. Their allure tempts us to take our eyes off God for a second, but just that one second can create a loophole for the devil to reach through and wreak havoc in our lives.

Here are some signs that you may be in need of renewing your mind:

If so, those are some signs that you are in need of renewing your mind, your heart, and your spirit. Instead of fixing your mind on the entertainment, stress, and other things of this world, fix your eyes upon Jesus because when your mind is filled with God’s power and wisdom, you will be changed into his likeness (see 2 Corinthians 3.17-18).

Father, Thank you for making it possible for me to experience the joy of seeing my mind renewed by your Spirit. Make me sensitive to his leading so that I continue to fix my mind on the things you want me to reflect on as I go from task to task. Help me see all of life more and more the way you see it. Amen.

Throughout This Day: Seek to meditate on the passage of Scripture you read this morning, and try to remain conscious of God's presence, wisdom, and power throughout the day.
