Carolina faced a problem: How could she get to work without gas in her car, without cash or available credit, or even breakfast?

She drove to the nearest gas station and tried both her cards — nothing available. She said a prayer. When she tried her card again, money appeared in the balance where there had been only zeroes minutes before. She got both gas and even something to eat.

When she reported the experience to her mother, she testified she had been drawn to Jesus— the spiritual Bread of Life, where she would never run out.

Jesus pointed the 5,000 men plus women and children He had fed with five loaves and two fish to the same truth. Once a person has tasted of Jesus, the Bread of Life, nothing else will satisfy. In Christ alone we will find the hunger-and-thirst quenching Master. We are saved, and nothing can tear us away from God’s love.

In a paradox, tasting the Bread of Life ignites a fiery hunger for more. The more I know of God, the more I want to know. I will never be fully satisfied until I am totally consumed by the glory of God, in heaven.

The more we eat of the Bread of Life, the more our lives will be transformed. We will long to spend more time with the Lord, just to visit and to get to know Him better. He will meet with us and meet our needs.

Bread of Life, once I’ve tasted of you, nothing else can satisfy. I thank you that you supply all I need now and forever. Amen.
