“Go and make disciples ...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

I wrote it in my Bible nearly 20 years ago. A quote from a preacher long forgotten…but it has helped shape my life.

He said, “If our lives, as Christians, are not lived out on the wavelength of the great commission, then our lives are irrelevant to God’s plan for change in our world.”

It stopped me short. Irrelevant?

God has a plan for change in this world; changed lives that will affect today and eternity. Is your life relevant to God’s plan for change in our world? Does it even really matter?

Jesus words in the “Great Commission” simply mean being ready to share the things you have learned from following Jesus. To make disciples is to teach others, through your life, the difference it makes to know Him. He has promised to be right with you as you do.

God has packaged you in a unique way to share your journey of faith. It is the very thing that will bring true relevance to your life.

So what wavelength are you living your life on? Whatever fills your mind front and center will tell you. If you are a Christian feeling empty and frustrated, look again at this call of Jesus. It is the one thing that will effect true change in our world and bring true relevance to your life.

Don’t let your life be lived irrelevant to God’s plan for change. Go today and share His love with someone on your path.

Father God,?

I don’t want to be irrelevant to Your plan for change in our world. Please use me today to share Your love in some small way. Help me to be aware of sharing what You have shown me in my life. Help me to encourage others to follow You too. I love you Lord. May my life be relevant to Your plan for our world. Use me today to touch someone’s heart.? In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Take Action:

Ask God to give you an opportunity to share your faith in some small way today and to courageously step into that opportunity.

Watch: Jesus is for Everyone
