Early one cold January morning, we received a call from our neighbor. One of the young kids who lived on our rural road was missing. It was a toddler boy who wouldn’t be able to withstand the bitter cold for long.

My husband and I quickly prepared to search our five acres. We looked in every car and building, in all the tall grass and around our pond. Thankfully, the boy was found safe. God used this incident to remind me: some are still in need of a Savior who will seek them out. Jesus offers salvation to everyone.

There is no hesitation in his grace and mercy. He is always willing to go out and find the one soul that needs to be saved. After all, he did leave the 99 to go look for the one lost sheep. Jesus still has the same grace and mercy for souls today.

Dear God, help me to have the same concern for the lost souls as you do. Give me your heart for those who are still searching. Amen.

Throughout the Day: Look for someone who needs to be seen today. Be quick to offer a kind word, help, or a prayer.
