I love the word all, because it means everything or everyone without exception. Think of Romans 3:23 where it says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Since Jesus died for all, we all have the opportunity to accept him as our Savior and Lord. For those who do, his abounding grace is available to us at all times.

In 1989 I lived with a Latin family in Quito, Ecuador for three and half months. They graciously brought me into their home and lavished their love upon me. They hired a Spanish teacher for me. I had taken Spanish in eighth grade, but I was not fluent. They opened their home so that I could counsel and pray for those in need. I have never forgotten their generosity.

The same grace that brought us salvation, is the grace we live in. I remember one day when I was standing in the blazing hot sun, handing out gospel tracts at a flea market. My back was spasming and I was in so much pain.

I pictured a box with the words written on all sides, “My grace is sufficient for you.” I said, “Lord, I’m standing in my grace box. Help me persevere.” And in accordance with his faithful, more than generous nature, he did!

Lord, I am so thankful for your generous gift of grace. I could not go on without it. You lavish your grace upon me as I walk in humility. My path of obedience is strewn with your grace. You always allow me to come boldly to your throne of grace when I have a need. I am grateful beyond words, because I know your grace is there for me at all times.

Throughout this day: take some time to ponder where you are putting limits on God’s generous grace. Where do you struggle to really believe that he will make you all sufficient in all things at all times? Talk to God about it.
