Has anyone ever told you, “I love seeing how God is blessing you and your family?” Whether the words came from a loved one, church member, or friend, you probably felt very loved.
One of our favorite blessing scriptures to pray and speak over our granddaughter, daughter, and friends is today’s passage in Numbers 6. This famous prayer is known as the Aaronic or priestly blessing and did not originate from the Levites but from God himself. It is a powerful and favorable blessing that we can incorporate into our lives by faith and use to speak and pray over others. We can all learn from the powerful blessing prayer in today’s scripture.
The Hebrew phrase yevarekhekha is a phrase that translates to “you shall be blessed.” It carries the word picture of a king stooping down and presenting one of his subjects a gift of kindness,
It’s never too early to bless your children, friends, and loved ones. None of us can be prayed over too much or blessed too much. As you pray these scriptures over others, you can release your plans and trust God to accomplish his will over their lives. Is there someone you know who would welcome a blessing from you today?
Lord God, like the people of Israel, each of us has complained. Thank you for being so gracious and giving us the priestly blessing so that we can pray these words and bless others. We trust you to work in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
