My wife is amazing. No matter what it is, she always seems to have exactly what either I or the kids need at a moment’s notice in either the pantry, the kitchen drawer, or in her purse. Sometimes two of them! I always know I can confidently go to her and she has my back when I need something.
Even more than my wonderful wife, God is an amazing provider who has exactly what we need. He provides peace in times of chaos. He provides comfort in times of sorrow and joy in times of pain.
And sometimes he has two of each to give you because he loves you a lot.
God promised to provide all of our needs according to his riches in glory. So we know we can confidently go before his throne and ask for whatever we want.
Sometimes he will give us exactly what we ask for. Sometimes it won’t be what we want and we may be disappointed, but we have to remember that he is a good Father and knows what’s best for us. Sometimes, and I cannot stress this enough, he will give us exceedingly more than we could even ask, think, or imagine. When that happens the joy we experience is immeasurable.
You have to be confident that his will for your life is better than anything you could ever dream of. The journey will never look like you think it will and it won’t be easy. But, accept what he gives because he has your back.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for giving me the confidence to come to you with anything going on in my life. To know that even though you have the whole world to worry about, you know how many hairs are on my head. Give me the wisdom to always come to you and to point others in your direction. In Jesus name, Amen.
