Prayer has taken on a new meaning for me since I’ve incorporated the concept of praying for “thy Kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven” into my regular quiet time. I ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to me what I need to pray for so that things that are in heaven can begin to take place through prayer. God wants to do more than I can ever comprehend. He empowers me to seek him and to anticipate what he wants to do through prayer.

Since I’ve been asking God each day what it is that his Spirit wants me to pray for, I’ve seen God bring about healing, redirection of plans and a new outlook on my relationship with him. He wants to give strength through difficult times, but he calls me to pray – and to pray with anticipation.

I’ve learned that I need extended time where I quiet myself before God. I spend time praising him and celebrating what he is teaching me even through difficulties I face. I ask from protection from the enemy. I ask God to show me Scripture that supports what I sense the Holy Spirit leading me to pray for, then I write down my prayer requests as well as the answers that God gives me. It’s phenomenal to see what God does as we step out of our comfort zones and seek the Spirit’s direction to pray for God’s purpose in our lives to be revealed.

Lord, I come to you and I ask that your Spirit would reveal to me what it is you want me to pray for. Lay the things on my heart that I should pray for others and for my life. I know that you are willing to do so much more in my life than I have dared to ask. I pray that you would show me what to pray and that your kingdom would come on earth as it is heaven. I praise you Jesus for what you will do.  This I pray in your most precious name. Amen.

Throughout this Day: Take the time to pray for God's will? He is waiting for you to pray “Father, let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven”. He wants to do great and mighty things in your life. To bring hope to the hopeless, help to the weak and to work in and through your life. Begin to pray this way. Write down that you see God doing in your life. You will be blessed!
