It is said that the Apostles’ Creed was used to affirm one’s faith at baptism as early as the second century. As you recite it today, praise and worship God for all it says about him:

I believe in God, the Father almighty.
And in Christ Jesus, his only Son, our Lord,
who was born of the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary,
who was crucified under Pontius Pilate and was buried.
The third day he rose from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
is seated at the right hand of the Father.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

And in the Holy Spirit,
the holy church,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the flesh,
life everlasting.1

The Apostles’ Creed, modern version

Throughout This Day: Ponder how knowing God — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — has transformed your life and continues to transform your life.
