"When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, going around half-naked in full view of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!” David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord." 2 Samuel 6:20-21

Set aside 30 minutes to pursue God courageously in prayer. Challenge yourself to be more "naked" or vulnerable with God.

David was pretty courageous all around. But he was bravest when he was praying.

He pleaded with God to search out even a hint of malignancy in his heart and to ruthlessly cut it out so he could remain fully abandoned to his God.

Is it possible that we lack David’s bravery because we don’t fully trust God?

Lord, help me to trust You with all of myself, give me a courage like David's. Amen.
