Kids in the classroom are known for raising their hands and jumping up and down in their seats just to get the attention of the teacher. I don’t know if you were one of those kids, but I sure was. Since I didn’t get the teacher’s attention in the way she thought was appropriate, she usually ignored my request to be seen and went to another student for the answer.

God is not like that with people. He never sees you begging for his attention and turns his back just to answer someone who has a better posture than you. To get God’s attention we must simply have genuine love and a level of faith in him. As today’s scripture suggests, he desires hearts that are humble and trusting, like children's hearts.

When you get God’s attention, and become his child by faith in Jesus, you unveil his manifold blessings and the opportunity to experience his grace beyond what the human eye can see, or what the mind can fathom. Like the kid in the classroom, you should be excited to tell the world of all the good things God has done. If you keep your experiences of God’s glory to yourself, you’ll do an injustice to your family, friends and others who would benefit from hearing about them. Your testimonies can be used to draw people to Christ; telling of his goodness can open opportunities to share his gospel and help someone along the road to salvation. When was the last time you were excited to tell someone about Christ?

Father, thank you for everything you have done for me. I appreciate your love and faithfulness towards me. You are an amazing God, and because you are so amazing, I will tell of your goodness to the world so it may know of you. Amen
