“You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1

I love the feeling of an ice cold glass of water sliding down my throat when parched. It is the same for us who are Christ-followers. When we are in fellowship with Him our parched souls are quenched.

God desires intimate fellowship with us. He promises with a 100% guarantee to never abandon us and offers us sweet relationship every day. No other relationship is as deep and peace-filled as when we hunger and earnestly seek Him. God’s Scriptures encourage us, gives us peace that passes all understanding, and help us in our day-to-day pilgrimage.

When I am seeking a deeper relationship with God, life’s issues and challenges are a lot easier to face. My heart beats with God’s heart in how I react, make decisions, and engage with those around me.

God, our God. We are earnestly seeking You today. Our heart’s longing is to be in a relationship with You as we move ahead in our journey. Thank You that You are desiring to enjoy a deep, refreshing relationship with us. Guide us today. In Your all-powerful name, Amen.
