"The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, 'The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness...'" Exodus 34:6
Trust in God’s mercy and grace. With the grace Jesus died to give us and the Holy Spirit He left in His place, we can come to a real knowledge of our sins, and repent in a healthy way. Spend some time in repentant prayer and fasting this week and bask in the grace God offers as you anticipate Easter.
What happens if a Christian knows his or her own sinful nature is not affected by it?
If a Christian is not inspired to confess and make changes in their behaviour when that nature rears its ugly head?
Inevitably, you are looking a Christian who is missing out on a major aspect of God's nature. You are looking at a Christian with no sense of God's mercy, and as a result, probably has difficulty showing mercy.
Are you a Christian transformed by God's mercy, or are you holding back?
Lord, help me to be a person transformed by Your great mercy. Amen.
