My concern for Christmas is for the people that are less fortunate than my family. My prayers and thoughts are with them. It does provide an additional opportunity for us to truly be thankful for all that we have. Also, it give our family another reason to share what we have with others.

Most of all, we can teach others that it is not about the presents, trees, and decorations, but about the birth of Jesus. This baby did not even have a bed. To be thankful for what the Lord has seen fit to give us.

What a good reminder that more isn’t necessary better. We have always made a point of buying less for Christmas and that way we can enjoy being together without spending way more money than we can afford and facing debt until June!
