Police report that drugs may have been a factor in his death, however that is not officially confirmed at this time. If this is the case, Ledger will be following other famous actors whose death involved drugs, such as the tragic deaths of Chris Farley, Elvis Presley, Judy Garland and River Phoenix. Ledger is survived by his two year old daughter Matilda Rose.

What a waste of a talent, a life. I think it’s unfortunate how the media is so quick to jump on the drug involvement angle of the story, before anything is proven. It’s sad that people seem so ready to think the worst of this situation and of this man, rather than giving him the benefit of the doubt that he did not take illegal drugs and that the death was accidental.
