Thank you so much for your advice. I know that God is taking us on different spiritual journeys right now and I want to be very sensitive to Mike and his concerns. I know God is the one that will show him His love and I will continue to love him with the love God has given me.

Sharon

Thank you for your prayers and all the other ladies as well. You all will never know how much all of your prayers mean to me. God tells us to pray for one another and I know God hears and answers our prayers for which I am so thankful! Praise Jesus that he is always there for us and sends those to tell us of His love for us.

Linda, you are so right in encouraging Debra, and any other unequally yoked spouses, to be careful about pressuring their less spiritual spouses toward spiritual development, as this often backfires, leaving the couple frustrated and discouraged. Just as you said, we each have our own spiritual race to complete, each of us growing at different paces, to different levels. We are not to compare ourselves to one another, as God's timing is perfect, and He uses His time carefully and intricately to shape us and mold our characters to reflect His image. Husbands need to feel respected, admired by their wives. She may be more spiritually mature than he is, but he is the spiritual head of their home. It is important that she yield to his spiritual leadership, offering him up in prayer, and seeking God's grace in supporting him with her quiet and gentle spirit. If he is made to feel inadequate, compared to others, he may withdraw from further developing his faith. We would be wise, as wives, to seek contentment, and set our husbands free to become the men of God they are meant to be, in His time!

Dear Debra,
I just want to give you a scripture -
Jeremiah 17:7-8
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

It all comes down to trusting God.So I agree with Linda, praise God for a Christian doctor and counselor!God works through people and I believe that He will work through the doctor and counselor who are led by the Spirit. You're in good hands..just keep on trusting God and you will be like a tree planded by the water and in a year of drought you will not fail to bear fruit!
May God bless you and your husband!

Margaret,
Reading back through the comments this evening has brought to my attention your comments from earlier today. I am also sorry for rushing through them and missing yours this morning. I understand the special blessing it is to be with your mother, holding her hand and releasing her into Jesus' arms. Two years ago I had the same experience when my mother passed on. It was a time of sadness, but also a time of great joy knowing that she is with the Lord now and has no more pain. It was such a privilege to be with her at that time. Margaret,I also will be praying that your movement will improve. You said your legs give out on you sometimes...I'm not sure why but God knows and so I will be asking him and believing that you will improve. We serve a mighty God and more than once we have witnessed His care of many of us on this site. Love to you all, have a restful night my friends...Donna

Margaret for some reason I missed your comment this morning & I am really sorry I will put you on my prayer list. I know what it is like to live with chronic pain as I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia but your pain sounds worse than mine. Dear Lord I just bring Margaret to you right now Lord you see the pain that she deals with day in and day out and how she has to depend on others to help her get around as her knees give out on her. Jesus I just pray that you would just minister to her, encourage her. Lord even though to man it looks impossible we know that You can Heal her. I just pray that you would reach out with Your Healing Hand and touch her right now, just help her to feel your presence in her body and life each and every day. We Thank you for her testimony and pray that You will use her for Your Glory each and everyday. In Your Name I pray. Amen!
Debra Praise God for A Christian Doctor and a Christian counselor I will continue to pray for you and your physical needs but also for you and your husband, Yes God Is So Good!!! Hugs Linda!!!

Margaret, You know your story touched me and I had to tell you so. You know God always knows our needs before we go to Him. He wants you to know that He loves you and will always be there for you. It is wonderful that you were there with your Mom at the end. What a blessing she went to be with Jesus holding your hand! Praise Him for giving you this blessing. I pray God will give you the desires of your heart and touch your legs in a healing manner. God is truly a God of miracles. I know from personal experience. Bless you Margaret as you are special to us.

Ladies, there are so many of you that have named me personally in your responses, Linda, Patti, Jamie, Lene, Donna... I can't thank you all enough that you would lift me up to our Lord during this time. I can tell you I feel it as today although the cyst is still there and the same size and now a fibroid tumor, I was about to go ahead with the surgery but there was a mixup in the appointment and at the last minute they put me in another doctor's office to watch a film. In that office were items filled with God's love. I started watching the film and a fear came over me until I said maybe she as a spirit filled doctor should do the surgery and a peace came over me. I knew it was from God. She is out on maternity leave now but I believe I should wait. I talked with my doctor and told her I felt I should wait a while since I am not in alot of pain and not having other troubles most women complain about that leads to this soon. My husband was with me and doesn't understand my reasoning to wait for a spirit filled doctor. We are seeing a Christian counselor that I know is lead by the spirit. She told us today she could see how strong our love is and that God does not want this to divide us. She said the same thing happened to her with her husband becoming closer to the Lord and she said she felt the same way until she decided to learn to love the new man. I pray that Mike will learn to love the new me the way he loves the old me. Glory Hallelujah that God hears my cries and holds Mike and I in the palm of His hand. I love him so.

Yes Donna, it is Phil. 1:6 and the other scripture is Exodus 33:22, which is the one your referred. I also love Psalm 91...thinking about abiding under the shadow of the Almighty and His covering me with his feathers. Another is Psalm 139 which I still read over and over!

When I think of hiding in the Cleft of the Rock...I think of the old hymn written by, I believe Fanny Crosby.......He Hideth My Soul.....particularly the Chorus.....

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He hideth my life with the depths of His love,
And covers me there with His hand,
And covers me there with His hand.

Psalm 94:17 ...
