As we read the emails and the blog posts that come in each day our hearts are touched by the places where many of you walk. It’s important for us to share with one another about God’s faithfulness to us in the challenges of life. When you share here another heart somewhere is encouraged.
As we pray for you today I am reminded me of a prayer in the Bible. It’s a great model of how to pray for one another. This morning I want to pray this prayer for each one of you reading this today as you seek to trust God in the places where you walk.
Colossians 1:9-14
“Since the day we heard about you we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through spiritual wisdom and understanding.
And we pray this in order that you may
- live a life worthy of the Lord
- pleasing Him in every way
- bearing fruit in every good work,
- growing in the knowledge of God
- being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might
So that you may have
- great endurance
- and patience
- joyfully giving thanks to the Father
who has qualified YOU to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
May you be filled today with all He is and all He has for you as you walk the path before you.
Questions: What do you need from God today? Why is it sometimes hard to trust Him for it?
