I have problems with nudity in my relationship. I get very uncomfortable when watching a show and nudity is on. I do not want to be touched by my spouse, not even by my children. Why do I feel this way?
My thought is that you might start by reading Happiness is a Choice by Carter. Let me know what you think about it. People who have a hard time with touch, often were not touched appropriately when they were little, were born premature or were molested when they were young. Do you think that any of these could be a source of this problem? Humans need touch to thrive and feel good about themselves. When someone (husband or children) touches you, instead of shying away, allow the touch and let yourself feel the emotion and then write it down. When you do this enough, you will get insight as to where and when this problem started. Dr. Ginger
